Today is Cinco de Mayo, The 5th of May, which helps us remember when the Mexican Army won a very important battle against France, which helped the country to maintain their independence.
Mexico is a country that us artists are grateful for. So many bright colors and powerful patterns come from Mexico, and the country is rich with many creative and colorful traditions. One of the world's most famous artists came from Mexico - Frida Kahlo! She is known for her self portraits, where she uses the background and small details to help tell her stories.
A great way to celebrate today is by singing and dancing with your family.
