I'd like to introduce you today to artist Faith Ringgold! Her paintings are powerful! She was born in Harlem NY in 1930, making her 89 years old. Her work represents her people and the things she has faced over the years. She uses her artwork to inspire and educate others! The use of color is key in her work, as well as the use of pattern and texture.
I'd also like to introduce you to contemporary artist Corey Barksdale! He is from Atlanta, Georgia, and paints beautiful murals with lots of bright colors! His paintings seem to move on the walls! His artwork reflects his culture and history - one he is very proud of!
