In Full Bloom

Good Morning everyone!

Today's color of the day is Goldenrod!

Today's art quote is:

"Art is a harmony parallel with nature." - Paul Cezanne

Here's my doodle! Nice and simple today!

Keeping up with our nature theme and enjoying the nice weather, today let's make flower prints! Here's an example of what they might look like when they're done!

Step 1: Go outside and pick some flowers!

Step 2: Cut off the stems of the flowers, and arrange your flower tops on a flat surface. Make sure flowers are facing UP! Place paper or fabric (maybe you have an old t-shirt you could recycle) on top of your composition.

Step 3: Find some cardboard and cover everything. Tape it down so things don't move around during the next step.

Step 4: With parent approval and assistance, safely hammer away on the cardboard! Try to aim where your flowers are! If you don't have a hammer, try any heavy object, but be safe!

Step 5: Remove the cardboard and see the transfer you've made! If you missed a spot, put the cardboard back and hammer in that spot. Peel away any pieces of the flowers that may be stuck to your paper or fabric.

Have a wonderful, colorful day!
