When Lisa was 6 years old, her sister Lucy was half her age. If Lisa is 40 years old today, how old is Lucy?
Think about this: When Lisa was 6, Lucy was 3. Half of 6 is 3. Lisa is 3 years older than Lucy. So, when Lisa is 40, Lucy is 37 because she is 3 years older.
