Read all about it!

Good morning Eagles!

Happy Friday!

Another week has passed, and though it may feel way longer than that, think of all you've gotten done in just a week! So many art adventures, not enough time.

The color of the day is Mauve!

The art quote of the day is:

"I am always going what I cannot do yet, in order to learn how to do it." - Vincent Van Gogh

Today's daily doodle is actually a paper clip that I bent and twisted a bunch ~ enjoy!

Today I'm hoping to switch things up and do some easy to do at home 3D art!

This is for all grade levels! You can get super complicated, or go very simple. Let the materials guide you.

Some of you may be familiar with this already, so try to challenge yourself! (I'm looking at you 1st and 2nd graders! You mastered paper playgrounds, so I know you can do this!)

Some PK and Kinder friends may need parent or sibling assistance, but please let them experiment and try on their own first!

Step 1: Gather materials! Any paper you can find - post it notes, construction paper, news paper, magazine pages, cardboard, paper plates, toilet paper tubes, egg cartons, gather a bunch! You will also need scissors, and glue or tape!

Step 2: Cut, tear, fold, bend, twist your materials! Do some experimenting to see how you can attach things, what is easy or hard, what is fun.

Step 3: Build something that makes you feel happy! This could be a silly face mask, a paper playground, a plant, a 3D rainbow, a crown, a tower, a rocketship, anything! If you have crayons, markers, stickers, or paint, feel free to add lots of color and detail to your sculpture! If not, that's okay. Sometimes simple art is just as satisfying! (Check out those simple egg carton masks!)

Have a fantastic Friday!
