Good Morning Everyone!
In the wake of George Floyd's death and the following protests around the world, including locally, I will be hosting a workshop with Mrs. Simonson on social justice art & how to design your own powerful social justice posters! These posters can be for any cause you care about, and we will look at some inspiring examples from different time periods and movements. The workshop will focus on the key elements of a strong poster, and using basic materials such as paper, cardboard, crayons, and marker to design them.
The workshop will be held this Friday at 5pm! The workshop will run for an hour, potentially two. Mrs. Simonson will help facilitate discussion around the event of the past two weeks before we begin creating, and we will close by sharing our work and discussing ways to move forward together as a community.
