Good morning boys and girls!
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! I spent most of mine relaxing with my cat and watching the cherry blossoms bloom outside my office window. Knitting is getting a little bit easier, but it's still very confusing. I have to be completely focused when I do it. I also caught up with an old friend who lives in Bavaria, Germany right now! He's been on quite the adventure, but they are staying home all the way across the world too, so his adventure is on pause. Safety first!
Today's color of the day is banana yellow!
Today's art quote is:
"In the midst of chaos lies creativity." - Sun Tsu
ART PK - 2
Listen to this funky song, and draw your favorite onomatopoeia! For example, 'Meow' is the word for the sound a cat makes, so you would draw a cat making that sound! Don't forget to practice your language and try to write the letters of your onomatopoeia big and fun in your picture, just like in the music video!
ART 3 - 5
Make art inspired by idioms! What's an idiom? It's a phrase that means something completely different than what it sounds like! Here are some examples:
It's raining cats and dogs = It's a bad storm
The cat's meow = something really cool
Knocked my socks off = I was shocked
Under the weather = Feeling sick
A piece of cake = Something that's super easy
Time flies = Time passes very quickly
There are many, many more as well! Watch the above videos and check out the list of idioms to inspire you, and then draw your favorite! For example, if you choose 'It's raining cats and dogs', you could draw cats and dogs falling out of a cloud! Use any art materials you'd like.
Happy Monday everyone!
